How the Porcupine Got it’s Quills By: Kiei
There once was a porcupine named Pango at this time instead of long sharp quills porcupines had smooth, shiny, soft fur. And boy oh boy did Pango loved to show off her gorgeous fur. Now Pango was very narcissistic, prideful, arrogant, and cruel she was pretty popular and bullied anyone who didn’t worship her or was in her clique.

So one day Pango, her husband (who unlike her did not approve of her cruelty) Pane (porcupine), Sammy (snake), Lisa (lizard), Tomas (turtle), and Richard (robin) were sitting in the forest and talking about how pretty they were. When suddenly Riku (rabbit) stumbled out of the bushes. “Oh look if it isn’t Riku the fat freaky bunny.” snickered Pango Riku looked terrified. Riku ran. Then a blink later out came a wolf. Before Pango could think of what to do her friends all went running in different directions including her husband. Seeing Pango the wolf turned away from Riku and glared enticingly at Pango. The wolf started to slowly advance on Pango but then Pango shook off her terror and bolted. Pango kept running and running but couldn’t seem to shake the wolf off. Then Riku pulled Pango out of the path she was running on and into the bushes with her children and herself . Even though Pango had always done cruel things to her, Riku couldn’t just let her be eaten.

The wolf started sniffing near the bushes where the were hiding. “Oh know it’s going to find me. I’m to pretty to die.” Riku comfortingly patted Pango “We’ll be okay.” she said Pango panicked and deliberately pushed Riku out of the bushes. The wolf spotted Riku picked her up and left to devour her. Riku’s children looked sad. Then they looked angrily at Pango. “Why are you looking at me you ugly little freaks your mom had it coming anyway. If you asked me I saved her from a life of ugliness. Humph.” Pango walked away from them. But when she walked away she tripped and fell down into the long overgrown thorny patch. She was stabbed all over her back with long sharp thorns. She escaped the thorny patch to find herself covered in long thorns that she couldn’t remove. The thorns eventually became genetically part of her DNA.

Without her fur and with her sharp quills her friends and husband abandoned her. Later when she gave birth to two babies a boy she named Pine and a girl she named Pan. They had also inherited the quills and when they had kids so did they and so on and so forth thus this is how the porcupine got it’s quills.

Wait how did the porcupine trip forwards and land on it's back? Regardless it's an interesting story which is very fable like in clear cut characters. But the actions don't lead directly to consequences. Also if it weren't a fable style, I'd like to hear more about Pango having a crappy life or how she even had kids if everyone left her.
