Remove images that detail the site, most of them being attached to the hermes theme, making the site design alot more like tk and removing uneccesary baggage, speeding up the site, it will look slightly like this, except with icons, buttons, banner and a few more borders, when done

Increase middle columns width about 100 pixels on both sides

if wanted, remake icons to match new, simpler design

Project:make slideout navigation sidebar, and remove alot of navigation clutter placed around the site afterwords, make have text only or have special icons

I agree with AFH, but i suggest to do a stripe layout similar to this pattern:

not exactly like that, but just a little detail so it wont look too dull...

I also suggest to make the navigation in this site to be simpler and easier for newcomers.

And also, the ForkHeads Flash (the one on the top) should only be on the Main Pages, and remove it on the Topic Discussions. To make it much more compact and the scroll bar wont be too tiny...

well, that background is terrible for one, and would ruin the entire idea, as for the flash, it would work.. except its our banner

well, i'm not saying to put that layout i posted... i'm just saiyan that you should put a little detail in the background to make it more lively and not kind of dull-looking as it is right now XD
