Inaccurcy of fat percentage scales
I had heard that the consumer grade scales that send some electrical signals up your body or something to determine % body fat were pretty inaccurate, but I wasn't sure how inaccurate. I figured they would give a decent ballpark figure, like, maybe +- 4% (which comes out to a range of 8%, which is pretty huge).
Well, I tried the one my sister has, and it told me I was like 11.5% bodyfat. While I don't know my actual percentage, I'm fairly sure I'm no where near that. That would be some incredible definition for me I would think, and while I am not overweight (anymore), I'm not that low. I figure double that would likely be closer (then again, I COULD be under 20% at this point, which would but it in that 8% range I guess, but I have no idea).
