Liberal politicians have tunnel vision when it comes to everything, they believe that if they are the ones who create the tunnel then it can only take them to where they want to go. So, that by following the tunnel, nothing can go wrong and they can save themselves time from having to consider or fight off other opinions from outside the tunnel with legitimate answers.
In other words, they ignore anything outside their group's aims, and feel that their aims are always 150% best and correct and worth defending with lies, false research, bribery, death threats, opinion columns taken as fact, slander of opponents, and open corruption. "it's all for the good of humanity, so it doesn't matter what anyone thinks".
