Also called by the latin name Carambola, star fruits are some weird fruits with a penance of being a multi-angled star in cross section. They are said to grow in tropical areas around the South Pacific, but crops find home in other tropical places of the world. Like any other fruit, they require care and precision.

Before consumption, people with kidney problems are forbidden to eat this fruit for the risk of weird and deadly health side effects, including the possibility of death. Why? I dunno, that's how life rolls? Anyways, the taste is a bit sweet, but more sour. The nutrient value seems slim, yet varied, save for the usual fruit standard.

I like the fruit, no more, no less. I guess I forgotten the fruit until recently.

I was actually offered this fruit today, but I don't like exotic fruit really.

I also work in a lab that researches and develops exotic fruits, like this one https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pitaya

My lab developed a spices of this fruit that in translation can be called "dragon balls" or "dragon eggs", either way it's kinda cool.

According to the wiki, Pitaya originated from both the Americas and any tropical places.

I tried that unsavory fruit. It's said to be packed with vitamin B, which is pretty weird for a fruit. It's not sweet, not sweet at all. It's a bit on the soury acidic/spicy side, with overall bland taste. Consider it a boring delicacy. It's like the solid form of mostly saliva and a bit of spices. It's like, bleh. I call it probably the worst cousin of the edible cactus leaf.

kiwi sounds good enough. I think it's currently a bit expensive at the moment.

I actually like the taste of this one, I never tried but I believe it will be very tasty in a fruit shake.
