 Son of a bitch. Left 4 Dead 2 is a lot harder than the first one. Some of the witches are wandering around, there's more special zombies to kill you, and the finales are more than "hold out till the evac gets here." Oh yeah, and there's bullet proof swat team zombies that you can only kill from behind.
One cool thing is you can pick up canisters of boomer bile to throw at tanks, causing a horde to attack them.

Even though witches are wandering around, most of the time you can take them down with a sniper rifle from a long range, since at a certain range they just run around randomly without being able to see who's shooting them. Jockeys have very little hp and chargers are easily avoided by side stepping, the only dangerous new special zombie is the spitter, since her acid attack spreads all over the place and does a lot of damage and ever when she dies she still releases a lake of acid. Swat zombies can be taken down by pushing them and then smashing their face in with any melee weapon (though I haven't tried all the melees besides guitar, frying pan and chainsaw on the hardest difficulty). And the new finales are a bit harder than the ones from l4d1, but as long as you have a team who isn't retarded enough to run around with a defibrilator without ever using it on a dead teammate, you should be able to go through the first few chapters with ease. Also: Grenade launcher turns anything into an omlette.

Oh I'm not saying it's like night-and-day as far as difficulty, just I like how they made the finales more challenging than "hold out through two waves and two tanks then run for the exit. The fucking bridge finale was nuts (we kept trying for the 3 minute achievement)...gotta know EXACTLY where you're going and there's a lotta surprise pitfalls.
As for melee weapons, gotta say the magic guitar is the best...it kills the fuck outta EVERYTHING.

Re: Son of a bitch. I'm...I'm pretty certain that every came that comes out has "Warning: you must drink and/or take drugs before playing...if not, you'll certainly want to before you complete the game" on the first page of the instruction manual. It's right underneath the warning about seizures.
