1: Apparently people who enjoyed Knights of the Old Republic enjoyed the whole facial feature changing based on morales gig and demanded that the same happen with Shepard in ME 2...good deeds give you a healthier looking face, bad deeds give you a sinister looking one. You can, however, buy an upgraded med-bay for your ship and ake your face permanently healthy (but what fun is that?).

2: Liara's a fucking bitch.

3: Speaking of fucking, this game has plenty of F Bombs.

4: With the exception of the two people you start with, everyone you pick up is completely fucking insane in one way or another...though I've still got two crew members to pick up.

5: Until you get used to the fact that this game is almost Gears of War'ian in that you MUST seek cover during combat, you will die...a lot.

6: The Council (if you saved'em) are still a bunch of douches.

7: You can't bang the Asari in this one.

8: I'm suspecting there's the chance of a human on human lezbo scene, as there was in Dragon Age.

9: Seth Green has a lot more lines in this one, most of them involve interacting with the ship's AI and are quite humorous.

And 10: The heavy weapons are fucking sweet.

AH Yes... Dialogue... but more importantly... am I gonna be spending 1/4 of the game in an elevator like in the first one?

Seth Green... best part of the game if you ask me.


Then again, the buddy cop thing with Garus was pretty good too.

Heh heh, well then here's a couple more spoilers:

The Normandy is fitted with an AI, it is Joker's dislike of having such a program on the ship's computer that leads to the humorous conversations, as they often get into arguments.

As for Garrus...gotta say, he's REALLY pissed off in this game. Don't know if it's because I loaded a Renegade character from the first game, but he's very vengeful and like, 1/3 emo. One thing I'm kinda pissed off about is the fact that you don't get to many personal conversations with him, apparently he is obsessed with calibrating the ship's weapons systems. Belayed spoiler: Garrus is back as a squad member. Not a big spoiler as he can actually be the first squad member you pick up...which is odd because last time I checked, his profile is still considered "classified" on the Mass Effect website, yet they tell you that Tali comes back to the squad and she's actually one of the last squad members you get. Specifically: there's her and an "unknown" member to be picked up before you go on the final mission. One last thing about Garrus, though, if you're playing Renegade, you'll really enjoy his loyalty quest. You and him (and some other random squad-mate) tracking down a man from the first game, shooting motherfuckers and being bad-ass loose-cannon cops, to put it lightly. Made me feel all warm and fuzzy in remembrance of the good ol' days.

As for the last member of your squad, I won't out-right spoil it but I'll give two hints: he was inf the original Mass Effect 2 teaser video, and it looks like HK-47 might have a replacement. Just be sure to bring him along when you do Tali's loyalty quest...that decision should hopefully come naturally.

Speaking of which, her quest takes you to the infamous Migrant Fleet, where you get to meet the Admiralty Board...one of which is voice by the same guy who did Tairn Logain (spelling) from Dragon Age.

Ended up losing Legion to a head shot. Zaeed... shoulda put more research into shields I suppose.

LOL exactly what happened to me, only Grunt apparently didn't survive the second split-up due to shield failure, and Tali was crushed by debris after we killed the main boss. Guess my big space for a spoiler in the Shepard vs MC topic wasn't needed, as you already know that you kill a reaper with naught but your gun....pretty sure that 1-Ups blowing up a carrier on a fly-by.

But speaking of Legion, gotta say it was pretty bad ass to have a Geth on the team...if for no other reason besides spending the entire first game mowing through entire armies of'em. Did you take him on Tali's loyalty quest? I just couldn't resist. You wanna talk about a huge fuck you to all the Quarians.

Anyways, I'm going Adept for my second playthrough (went Vanguard for my first one...wasn't as bad ass as I thought it would be). It was fun, but Charge was mostly useless unless there's just one or two guys left, otherwise you just get shot to pieces since the communal recharge time means you can't shield up then charge in. Specifically: you can't use Advanced Training to get the Geth Shield, Fortification, or Barrier and use one of those before or after charging in. So basically if you charge a group you're just making it easier for them to kill you.

I went as soldier. Fairly easy in the end, but slowing down time is boring. Makes sniping a breeze though.


And weird, no one died from debree for me. Just the specialist you send gets shot in the damn face every time (tried again, tali got hit in the face too). Must figure out how not to do that

And nah... I did all the loyalty quests before I got Legion. My mistake I suppose.

Heh neither of my specialists died. I had Legion crawl through the vents to hack the door, he made it fine. I had Jack be my biotic barrier, she survived. As I said, it was after the biotic barrier part where you meet up with your team again. We opened the door and Grunt walked in, said he took some hits, then died in my arms. At that point I didn't even care that Tali died in the escape cut-scene, as I already wasn't getting the achievement, though I did still think it was bull shit. Killed the reaper, it knocked around the platforms as it fell. Tali almost fell into the pit with it, but I saved her...only to find that she was crushed by a big hunk of stone or something when all the dust cleared.

But yeah, I'd imagine the way you ensure your whole team survives is to get every single upgrade in the game. That or maybe its actually a puzzle of sending the right person for the right job. I had Legion hacking because he's a Geth and because I figured as a synthetic he'd deal with the heat better, Garrus 2nd team leader because they said "It should be someone who can lead through experience". They made it through fine, but in hind sight he IS all emo because he got his entire squad killed on Omega heh. Then Jack was my barrier because she's supposed to be the strongest biotic and Grunt was my 2nd team leader. Figured if they were going into a big fight you'd want to have your krogan tank beat some ass...apparently I was wrong.

Heh oh yeah, I didn't send an escort with the Dr. as I was going Renegade...she didn't make it.
