I know a lot of people who use Windows think that XP was the last good Microsoft OS. I like 7, but XP was admittedly better. And no one likes 8 or Vista. So, *sigh*, I guess that's it then. Everyone has to admit what I've known for over a decade. It is the Age of Linux.

Re: Windows XP gets the final patch.
One of my computers still uses windows 98. It's kept always offline and has good defenses, so I think I'm safe.... somewhat.

Re: Windows XP gets the final patch.
I like windows 8. I think people are just being a bit too stubborn about the whole phone like UI instead of the start menu. I didn't like the xp+ start menues to begin with, so to me it didin't matter. I liked the classic start menu from windows 2000 and earlier, so I already had my share of butthurt in vista when they completely removed the traditional start menu. I also don't care for "apps", but they can easily be removed and replaced by regular applications. Once this is done, Windows 8 is like a more advanced windows 7.
