Welcome to the Tavern in the Void.
A place where you can sit down and have a drink, maybe some food, maybe take a peek at another world or two...
You must be new, you seem a bit daunted at that last part. Yes, other worlds. Let me explain.
This little tavern, so far out of the way that you would probably only find it if you were lost, exists in every dimension. I am proud to say that the atmosphere in this room will accommodate any being from any dimension, whether they thrive in 5000 degree weather or breath strange airs that would be toxic to most.
Yes, it is a place where you might see anything.
Ah, how do you get to these other worlds? Well, You can't. Not without the permission of someone from that world. See that huge parchment over there hanging from the wall? it's a quest list. People come from every world seeking help. Accepting a quest and having them lead you back through the door by hand is the only way to get to other worlds.
Certainly you'll see great things if you decide to take this path. and if not, well, we serve a fine ale and steak is always on the menu.
---Welcome to the new Dice based rp with changing dungeon masters!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Tavern in the void is your local FH D&D with a simple and flexible rule-set that accommodates multiple GM's.
This is because the tavern in which you find yourself is connected to every dimension. A quest accepted here can take place in any of billions of worlds. But be wary your skills may end up working slightly different in one world or another.
Each player rolls for how many Hearts they have. Hearts are health and the amount taken away depends on the severity of the hit. When you run out of hearts you will go unconscious or die.
6 basic stats are given to all players. These are the same for everyone..
Strength
Speed
Defense
Dexterity
Magic
Charisma
: Rolling for stats will be explained below:
7Skills are chosen by the player to suit their character. They are things your character does well. You begin with 7 but you can recieve more. Examples are lockpicking and rock climbing.
1 Class is also chosen by the player and can be literally anything. Example: Pokemon trainer. They may pick a pokemon as a skill and be able to catch more and even learn attacks for it. (Whatever have fun! :D all worlds collide here.)
Each class can receive 2 S-Skills, which are skills that are completely unique to their class and can be very powerful.
Examples:
Pokemon capture!
Fire breathing (Usually not for pokemon trainer. )
Fix any mechanical problem quickly. (for an engineer)
(
2 Items may be taken with you from your characters world. Other items can be purchased in the tavern with your G-bling (The interdenominational exchangable gold coin!).

Stats are a guideline for the DM, and they will help you in whatever actions you do, but in the end it will rely on how possible the action you took was.
If the option you took would almost certainly succeed, the DM may have you roll a D-15 against a D-4.
If the DM believes it is a steep chance, they may have your roll a 10 against a 20.

To become a DM, create a story with obstacles and monsters and what have you! Then play the part of a person posting a page on the quest board. . (This forum). Pick a time and meet in the Ajax forum, use the /roll feature and guide them through your quest!
Reward them equipment as the game goes on, perhaps experience at the end, or a talent or even a skill if they've earned it.
Usually if you die in game you will simply returned to the tavern, but in some worlds death can be permanent. So be wary.
I will try to begin a game some time in the near future. For now, let's make characters.
The threat to post your character sheets on is located here.
viewtopic.php?f=35&t=15802. You may have as many characters as you want. (Remember to keep your inventory and stats updated.)
If you have any character making questions, I'll answer them.
