Advent of Code is a series of XMas-themed coding challenges posted every year between December 1 and December 25. I'm only on the third right now because I'm a procrastinator, but I've had a lot of fun (as well as some frustration) so far and learned a few new things in the process. The URL is https://adventofcode.com/. You can log in through Facebutt or Jewgle if you're a Mac-using normalfag or Reddit if you're a sane person who wishes to avoid the botnet. Feel free to post your solutions (meaning the programs, not the answers) in this thread. Mine are on my Pastebin, linked to in my signature.

Re: Anyone else doing Advent of Code?
Damn shame about authentication requirements. To avoid botnet, I'd go with complete avoidance, but the data can still be of use.

Avoiding the botnet isn't an all-or-nothing deal. It's not possible to avoid it completely without avoiding technology altogether, but you can at least educate yourself on what companies are most botnet (i.e. Facebook, Google, Microsoft, and Apple) and where these companies have a presence (Google can track you through any site that uses Adsense for example, so I would just fire up ublock-origin and block the google.com domain. I would do this, but I need Google unblocked for now, since you have to solve Captchas to post on 4Chan unless you've bought a pass.)

Yeah, I've completely blocked 4chan because of suspicious activity. Darn shame, too.
