Post subject:  FUCK UPSCALED ([Z]DOOM) MAPPING!

Now, it's okay for anyone to start modding their doom mods as they want it. It's a free world, I get it.

It's only when the nerds get a little bit too techy and start fleshing out some mega shit beyond your everyday consumer's computer machine. WTF!

Examples like squeezed in sectors of sector, in absolute detail. Combined with the thing actors, and you get a lagathon when facing the mountain of sectors. It's total shit. Yeah, some motherfucker can just go, "Well, fuck you, get a better machine! That's all there's to it!". Guess what? Doom in its final product, was throughly tested with various machine brands. It was to cater to a plenty of people around the globe. Particularly for both computers and gaming consoles. That how it was in the big kickoff of the gaming 90s, you know? It's called operating hardware/software compatibility. Many companies out there do take this fact into consideration during their implementation phase. It's a plain fact.

I can't believe modders ignore this core essence of the doom modding expose. Now, it's like, to mod is to buy fucking specific hardware and shit like that. That's ridiculous! Doom was supposed to be a leisure thing, not some stupid vanity trophy goal, where you buy a certain material just so you can play around with it. Fuck these tech marketeers, I mean, show offs.

Might as well so be a fucking (stereotypical, not archetypal) jew man (with a monocle), and start all those stupid penny saver and investor things.

That being said, I must say that I feel that the future of (doom) modding would fly past me. I'll still mod as sensibly as I can. I just hope that I am able to finish (polishing?) it. If there is a way to forget both money and time troubles, I'll laugh, it is as if I can relive my youth moments (or something like that). Seriously, I slammed the pavement respriting the diablo 1's succubus. Took a few weeks or months. It was eye to eye, pixel by pixel detail, and that was when I didn't have much to do. Actually, I don't think I was able to get my life moving on due to a few preoccupied blunders. Anyways, the past is the past. All I can do for now is try to get rid of money and time troubles.

To all, don't forget to live or exist! And maybe find a meaning for it.

Now this, is what you called compatible Doom (somewhat TC) maps! For mapping perspective. Dunno about modding perspective. What is expected, if a bit exploration like @ the beginning. May not be completely mod compatible...

It's all oldskool and mod friendly. Fuck, the music/settings make me think of the Dark Disciple CRPG. It's like that, in doom format. Quite awesome (except for some puzzles, teleport tricks [not impossible], and some lag due to my combos [can't accept it for monsters then, BUT IT'S REALLY FUN!]). However, the story is about searching in a civilization long past. What the hell happened to them? What can we learn from this tragedy (of playing God)? Hell, if I can get the visual code system going at ace levels, I can throw out a rpg/fps hybrid thing (if I borrow the maps as sooner than making them). Maybe a bit like Dark Disciple, or maybe monster mangos, hahaha. I am playing this w/ combos, which testes out its all types of extremities. Got killed in a hate ambush, lol.

I used to think I should map a wargame map or some 1990s rpg inspiration, but it can get complicated. Well, maybe the wargame is much easier, but it's just the matter of map coordinates like battle ship. However, I do need to get the ball rolling in the matter of terrain props and textures whenever possible. I guess I can stick with the original stock assets, but where's the damn grass, rocks, and other shit I forgotten you know?

Maybe, it's just me that is not too familiar with the damn scenario. I mean, there were plastic soldiers or cowboys and indians; even the classic war game would do. I just don't see it as too imaginative or at least right at the moment. There's Dungeons and Dragons, but you know, I haven't really played the damn thing and it was quite the tedious process in trying to learn the rules.

I'm going for what I am most familiar with, and that's cops and robbers. SWAT, police raid, crackdowns, robberies, sting operations, but nothing too military. It ruffles feathers you know? Hahaha!

I just recalled that there can be from empty lots to municipal areas. And just to be diverse, I will make a monster set, one for the law enforcement, and the other for the crime enforcement. It be called "Hogan's Alley", named after real historical reference in terms of urban combat training and etc. I probably will name the map and start sign as 'Kill House/Range ##; ****'. There is plenty of urban combat material, but I know there's rural combat somewhere...
