Looking for Literature on Intelligence & Psychology
I'm looking for something that targets exactly what intelligence is and explains it well. There's a major difference between intelligence and knowledge, but they're still related. One might argue that intelligence is the ability to use what you know in a highly effective manner, but that still is based off of knowledge. Or that it's based off of how well you learn things, but that just shows an aptitude for knowledge. Stripping it from knowledge entirely, what comprises intelligence? Does it even exist in the classical sense? That kind of question is what I'm looking to have answered by it. So something hard. I don't mind if it deals with anything advanced. I'd be willing to take the time to figure it out.

Re: Looking for Literature on Intelligence & Psychology
It could be argued that Intelligence cannot exist without knowledge. It could also be said that Intelligence is the measure of skill someone has at seeing and using their resources. Another possible definition is that it's the ability to connect pieces of knowledge together, and if someone is very intelligence, they can connect knowledge together even if the two parts are quite at a distance. It's the ability to manipulate all things knowledge. And everything can be used as knowledge.
Though, unfortunately I don't have any recommended reading. This is just my view on it.

Re: Looking for Literature on Intelligence & Psychology
You can start by picking up any college level psychology book. Will give you wonderful insights. I'd recommend my old college textbook but I forgot the title.

Re: Looking for Literature on Intelligence & Psychology
Seems... not very specific. But alright. What's the chapter I should be looking for?

Re: Looking for Literature on Intelligence & Psychology
Just start with the theories, think of them as your base knowledge. You might find other interesting things as you go from there. Much as I want to help you more, I really can't recall the name of my textbook, so my profound apologies. Psychology is quite nice to read.

Re: Looking for Literature on Intelligence & Psychology
Aye. I look at it as interesting literature. Though, I can't say I have much respect for the field in general. It's too lacking, and very held back.
