Re: Your password.
I use two types of passwords, one is simple and for many (not particulary important) places that I have registered on. If it leaks then there's not much of a dammage. It's the combination 3 words and a symbol, meaning is different depending on the order. Examplary it's simillart to this: - are_you_friend_? - you_are_friend_! - friend_you_are_...
Second type is the complicated one for important and private things. It's an combination of two words from different languages and some pretty random number at the end and one symbol. Like: "Blast=Geist+35"

Fits all the requirements, easy to remember, and hard for a computer to guess.

Like: "Blast=Geist+35" looks pretty nice. Is the 35 like a checksum or something? Back in the day, when I first joined FH, I had... danananaaaaa 1234qwerty for a password. Fits all the requirements, easy to remember, and hard for a computer to guess. needs at least one symbol. How about an exclamation mark at the start and finish?

Re: Your password.
I use the same word/words and add some numbers at the end depending on the site, most of my passwords are different in every site by just a few numbers.
I do it like this so if someone finds out my pass in one site, they wont immediately be able to get it for every other one

Re: Your password.
so, If I were to find out your password it would take a few nanoseconds for a bruteforcer to find your other passwords.

Re: Your password.
By template I mean a "structure" that probably won't make sense for other people.

Re: Your password.
by telling the size you have reduced the bruteforcing time by 0.1% Now it'll only take 13.7 sextilion years to brute force! Also, mine's 26 long.

Re: Your password.
I think I posted a link (or two) for GRC and their password theories. My passwords use words in alien languages from Sci-Fi filtered into L33T SP34K through the NATO phonetic alphabet and include both iterative markers for password duplication prevention and a strong salt to pad the length and ensure maximum search depth. I have four tiers of password divided using a karnaugh map of sorts: public or private and secure or dummy. A private password is never sent outside a secure network (work, home, lan party) whereas a public password is frequently sent over untrusted networks (the internet). A secure password is just that and has a search depth of x^95 whereas a dummy password is simple and derivative. My minimum secure password length is currently 13 until the next stroke of moore's law but the length is variable to eliminate that vector.
