Well, there comes a time when a much useful phone decides to break down. Hopefully, I get a working feasible solution. Right now, putting my bets on gamble.

It just breaks down at times, which is weird. Charge okay.

I always drop my phone and break it before I get to that point.

THE COMMON RESPONSE TO MY OWN TOPIC IS RETURN WARRANTY. THAT, OR LOOK FOR BETTER OPTIONS.

Speaking of the phone blues, I decided to be somewhat generous. There are strings attached!

I heard about this not-completely-free net-based call and text service, named TextNow. Once you purchase the SIM card, you can use the net to make free calls and text messages. The catch is that you have to use the company's app for calls and text. The app might be riddled with adware and surveillance of its users. Ads are generated in app text messages and probably app phone calls. In addition, there might be web/GPS tracking practices.

Anyone up for the Big Brother Incorporated offer? I admit that I haven't tried it myself. Could be bad vibes. Then again, that's free calls/text, even though you are tethered to the internet (which restricts communication on the go [unless you purchase a cellular plan]). It's like a homestuck phone, and you may still have to pay for the internet.

I feel bad vibes in publicating this information. I think that malpractice could result, but internet service is required, charging an sizable amount.

Allor, you might need to use a non-handheld phone instead. Try a telephone, if you drop the handset, you can detach it from the cord/phone. You may even try a headset. If you drop the headset in water, it becomes a somewhat useless cell/smart phone. And if the two suggestion fails, then you might need a business telephone system. At least it has the loudspeaker function. Even harder/better than the previous three suggestions, you can try setup a VOIP (or similar) account/server (might need efficient power supply for 24/7 uptime [for voicemail service and stuff like that]).
