I would have to disagree with taking someone's baby away if they're not married. Forcing them to get married to someone they don't necessarily love is also unhealthy for the child, because they won't be growing up in a loving family. Divorce is also traumatizing in most instances, and if you force someone to get married just because they have a child, it may just lead to a messy divorce later on that would be leave more of a negative impact than just raising the child in a single-parent family. And many (not all) single parents can take care of their children well too.
Foster homes are not necessarily the best - you will still get the uncaring family that neglects and/or abuses the children with foster home programs. Sure, there are regulations and they theoretically speaking shouldn't exist if screening is done properly, but it happens.
