Post Gmail's new Drag and Drop feature.
I noticed today when I signed onto Gmail at work that they've added a new feature (either last night or this morning) where you can easily drag and drop mail into folders/labels. They also hid labels and certain side items (such as Starred and Chat) and are now allowing you to customize what you want to see there and what you don't.

How many people like this new feature? Dislike? My supervisor doesn't seem to care for it because he's already developed his own method of labeling and whatnot. Another co-worker of mine seemed to like it but didn't have much to say on it.

I personally like it because it's convenient and makes labeling easier for me. I don't particularly like having things hidden though so I've changed all of the items back to "Show".

That sounds kind of neat. Though wouldnt it be kind of slow? I always sort my mail into folders using the check boxes next to them and the drop down box of folders which is above the inbox listing.

Ehh, it was okay I suppose. I'm more a fan of simplicity however, so it bothers me on some levels.

What bothers you about it? I'm not sure if I see how it'd intrude on the simplicity there already was.

Well, for one, I use a mouse pad instead of an actual mouse. Mind you, while passing over it I may twitch and accidently click it... then I'm dragin a message with me. It doesn't really do anything, but I find it annoying.

I've also found it increases load times for me.

Ahh yeah, mousepad would make a difference. That would be pretty annoying. Haven't noticed a different in loading time though - Gmail's always been pretty slow for me when I use Firefox and even when I use Chrome at work. I've been despising the fact that Google team focuses more on getting things to work in Chrome than in any other browsers though, especially with Gmail, 'cause it's just a hassle.
