forkheadia is a demiplane that can be found in the astral plane of the greyhawk cosmology it is where our tales will begin the people of forkheadia are called forkheadians more comenly referred to as forkheads the goverment is a democracy with elections held every year the capital city is forkheadia city

gods

for the most part the forkheads worship the core deitys of the greyhawk setting and sometimes offer prayers to the other deities

however recently a new deity has arisen in forkheadia

the young one

neutral good god of children
portfolio: children
domains: healing, protection, community (new domain outlined in complete divine details to come)
favoured weapon: fists (most children do not have weapons after all although the young one does not particularly care what weapon its clerics use )

the young one is the name of a deity new to this world it appears as an androgynous human in most situations and is infact a hermaphrodite however it often takes the forms of children of various races and genders through arcane spells and has often said it would stay as a child if it could.

the young one was the founder of an order dedicated to the protection of children the holy order of the child and earnt divine ascension through the spread of its order and seeks to expand the order to spread its purpose and increase its own power to further help children

the order seeks to help children and hunt down those that abuse them

most of the clerics are normal members of the order however a few focus on 1 gender these are the members of the holy cult of the lolicon and the holy cult of the shotacon these orders are feared both within and without the order outsiders fear them because of there secrecy and the other members of the order fear them because there methods often get extreme

the young one trys to encourage people from the 2 cults to leave and just stick to the main order but allows them to exist for the recruits they bring in

another problem with the cults is there members often start to revere rather then just protect children and have been known to become excessively brutal when hunting down child abusers

however the cults house a sinister secret what the church knows about is only a front for the true cult if this true cult were to be revealed they would all be forced from the order.

most members of the front cult are not actually members of the true cult and have no knowledge of its existence

due to its very recent ascension its power to grant spells to its clerics is limited and clerics must visit it in person at its shrine to get spells

in forkheadia city is a portal through which people can come and go between forkheadia city and greyhawk city although it is rarely used people tend to find the forkheadians crazy and the forkheadians rarely have any reason to leave

although forkheadia has a representative democracy most major decisions are made by a vote of the people elected leaders mostly deal with minor issues

taxs:
forkheadia has an unusual taxation system (this was done because we will be playing loose with time in this campaign it would be imposable to work out when a year is up) for every 100 gold a citizen earns they give 1 gold coin to the state most peasents will pay very few taxes in there life while adventures will pay significant amounts although not enough to really dent there wealth

its not overly important when you pay just as long as you do so when you get the chance

the penalty for tax evasion is death

current wars:

the blood war:
recently the blood war spilled over into forkheadia there are armys of devils and demons fighting each other at the moment they are contained in one place although the kingdom does keep an eye on the surrounding areas in case something tries to roam the countryside so they can kill it before it can cause problems however the state has no hope of stopping the war itself.
some adventurers often enter the area to fight against the evil outsiders although it is a dangerous endeavour you cant just go there and only encounter dretches and lemures (the weakest devil and demon respectively (or was it the other way around))

the war of the coast (better name likely to come):
currently there is a war between the tritons and the sahuagin along a stretch of coast they mostly stay away from the shore so the beaches are still safe despite the war

the war of the ancient deific grudges:
although gnomes and kobolds have always hated each other rarely does this hatred evolve into outright warfare however in forkheadia this has always been the case

the temple of the order of the child:
in the city of forkheadia can be found the great temple of the order of the child in the back of the temple stands the young one itself in the center of the temple are 2 staircases leading down to the ground the left leads to the home of the cult of the shotacon and the right to the cult of the lolicon. of course they cant let people get to the young one easily the main halls where the common folk pray are just before the entrances to the cults elsewhere in the temple are various over rooms where various dutys are carried out between the cult entrances and the young one are the main quarters of the clerics

while the geography of the land has not been decided and will most likely stay that way (we will just have areas but not place them anywhere on a map) there is something we have worked out

the plane is a flat land which wraps at its edges if you go all the way to the other side you will end up where you started much like you would on a round planet

to the east and west lies sea one can sail across the sea to reach the land on the other side while if you trek across the land you will arrive to the other side of the land you can of course travel south along the sea to end up on the northen end of the sea

locations of interest in forkheadia city:
the forkheadia mages guild is pretty much a standard guild aside from there views on sorcery (check the random rumours thread for more info it is a suitably majestic building and a useful resource for any wizard
for the most part the guild charges its members the same 1% tithe the state takes in taxes however sometimes when they are performing a large project they will expect the members to fund it which they are generally happy to do as they will ultimately benefit from it
the guild serves as both a guild and a school and almost every wizard in the land studied there

the greyhawk portal is a massive portal that leads straight to greyhawk city it was first made by the people that first colonised this land although it once led to a place in the countryside rather then the middle of the free city of greyhawk and if needed it can still do so

forkheadia city hospital is a source of health and healing for all citizens

parliament house the government meets in a majestic building in the heart of the city

the city does of course have districts such as the market district and the red lantern district forheadians tend to be pretty liberal about prostitution and it carrys no stigma for males or females to pursue it as a carer prostitutes enjoy protection from abuse and anybody who trys to treat them like they might get away with in some shithole where they dont care what happens to there whores wlll find themselves quickly chased out of town

forkheadia city park is a wonderfull stretch of land with majestic gardens and plenty of room for children to run and play it is a popular location for weddings

the temple district holds temples to most of the non evil gods

getting around forkheadia city:

the city has an extensive public transport system in the form of portals throughout the city

the center of this network is forkheadia central which is located at the site of the greyhawk portal

in forkheadia central can be found 2 kinds of portals those that go to the major landmarks of the mages guild hospital park and the heavily guarded parliament portal and those that go to the various hubs around the city

in addition forkheadia central contains an permanent exit from The World Serpent Inn (although the world serpent inn is intended to replace the astral in this setting it is in addition to the astral)

in each of these hubs can be found portals to various locations throughout the city much like bus stops as well as a portal back to forkheadia central from where you can go to a new hub you can also just go to the hubs and from there walk the rest of the way

each use of a portal costs 1 copper (except for the portal to greyhawk which is free)

the forkheadian army:

the forkheadian army consists of members of various species although for size related reasons members of the same species tend to get put in squads together

due to the low tax rates the armys equipment tends to be not very good although in times of desperate need the state will demand funding

there is no college for warmages in forkheadia instead they train at tarth moorda like most other warmages

the leader of the army is decided by a vote of the people from among the generals at the same time as the rest of parliament is voted on

the city of evil:
out in the ocean of forkheadia lies an island upon which is a vile city a city so horrible it does not even have a name
lol that was just a placeholder till i thought of a name its forkheadia island city

this city is where the evil denizens of the land make there homes it is a dangerous lawless place

however for all its depravity it is a great place for adventure adventuring partys often travel there to free slaves and thwart over evil schemes

on need not know what is happening in the city to find something to do as soon as you arrive you will see some evil happening

although people will ignore a murder right in front of them if somebodys randomly killing and rampaging the crowds will put a stop to it

all that is known of this woman is her perversion and her evilness

she has seduced many men and woman into her service and is known to polymorph herself to appear more pleasing
