Journey is coming out!

Alright for those that don't know there's a company called Thatgamecompany that makes games for PSN. First game was called flow, where you eat ...things... and level up into a super fish...plankton..thing... whatever. You had forms and it was awesome and zen. Great art style, basic food chain dynamics, cool look. Nice. It's free on PC if you want it. though it's also on PSP and PS3

next up they made flower. You play the wind, first/third/ everything perspective. You're the wind okay, so you're not exactly easy to tell. Anyway you hit flowers and blow the grass. The more flowers you hit the more open up and the world begins to change. The game has a real zen vibe to it as all their games do. Though it also has an anti industry message as well. Either way it's beautiful and a great time waster. PS3 only on this one.

which brings me to Journey. Lately games have been messing around with multiplayer concepts. Dark souls in particular. But Journey takes it to an extreme simplicity. You can make a noise, jump and run around. You meet people at random, and can move together or alone. Leave each other be or team up. I'm expecting people to be dicks and run circles around progressing players while making sounds.
Anyway when it does work it's sure to be cool. From what I've seen the movement looks especially cool though being motion based. Sliddeeee. The world seems to be intricately designed with sand effects everywhere(lot of games in the desert lately eh U3?) and a weird past civilization. I'm really interested in seeing what the actual world looks like and how the experience will work. It's out on May 13th for 15 bucks. You pirates will probably find it a day later on the internet.

Anyway I'm really interested. I love the look and can't wait to see the most complex game they've designed yet.

Ahem, wait till someguy posts it on the webs for us pirates.
