Well, as it seems that forum activities have slowed a little bit, how about I pose another question that I have been wanting to ask a savvy internet forum such as this one eh?
What do you think about the communities of amazing video games that are great in all sense of the word... however, overtime gain a reputation of having a very bad community to follow? Do you ignore them? Never think about the game again?
Personally, I think it's a mixed bag... Between games like Undertale, FNAF, and Fortnite. Some I just stay away from, others I embrace as a game and just ignore the parts of each community that acts like ten-year-olds hopped up on a mixture of sugar and magic good.
What is your opinion? How should these types of communities and games be dealt with? Should they be ignored, loved, hated? Give your reply below!

Re: Let's Discuss 2: Good games, Bad communities.
Depends, if there is a blend between game or community. Quite frankly, hardly. The game itself is a product and have its own values. I feel it should transcend above the voice of the community. Like art, there are artisans and there are artists. The big brother community can go to hell if they can't take the controversy. What they know about life? What they know about truth?

Sugar'd make them hyper. Magic good would forcibly evolve them from being children to being ultra-awesome transhumans capable of enduring injuries that would outright kill a human. :D
But yeah, fandoms can turn into nasty things. This is why I really like one-player games more than online play. On the other hand, there are truly good online communities. They may be few and far between, but I'll do what I can to help them.

I would honestly ignore the community all together and enjoy the game on it's own merits.

Re: Let's Discuss 2: Good games, Bad communities.
I'd like to break down my thoughts a little bit, categorizing them in a way, as it helps express my views on the issue.
So, when I look at game communities, I like to think of them as a niche group that finds commonality in enjoying said game or series of games. Hell, maybe even a group that enjoys the games and series of a particular publisher, developer, or both. Regardless of how broad the enjoyability is, whether it's enjoyment of a single game or the entire works of a team, this is how I like to look at it.
Even so, such niche groups are a subset of the population of gamers as a whole, and that in itself is a subset of the entire population.
So being that this niche group of gaming communities falls under the curtain of the whole population, all people of all walks are bound to turn up. Even among our own community here at Forkheads we have a broad spectrum of individuals of various walks of life and various personality traits, but all with the commonality of being Forkheads due to our love of a particular series made by the dev team (such as I Own Time, Sex Kitten, or the Sim Date Projects).
That being said, I don't really see any one game community as a "bad" community. It's a very subjective thing where we place value on the traits of individuals based on a first glance. Such is the way of first impressions I suppose. I myself have fallen victim to this way of thought, as I hated the Mabinogi community for years because I kept running into people with superiority complexes and drama all the way. The thing is, though, Yom has a point in that there are still good people among online communities, and I believe this does apply to games such as Mabinogi, which indeed seems to be the case. Of course, people will have their disagreements and may even label one another as dramawhores, but really, it's all just human interaction in my opinion.
Overall, whether I'm playing online games or looking at a following of a particular game, I feel as though it's all a matter of social interaction, and that despite some individuals having traits which I or anyone may view negatively, there are individuals who do have positive traits. Should they be few and far between I'd choose to either debate points and find comraderie, or introduce a friend who also has a common love for the game, or even the type of game.
So overall, it's like regular communities of people. Some people you like, some you don't. It does, however, impact the game if an individual happens to be so intolerable that no one ends up focusing on the game at hand and instead focusses about bitch-fisting one another. That's the point where I draw the line.
Usually I choose to play solo anyways, but I'd rather play a game with friends than alone.
Im part of a community that plays Arc System Works games and we all get along nicely, im also a coach for those who need training. I myself am busy with playing alot of Blazblue Cross Tag Battle whereas I meet alot of community members on and we have fun playing together while we hang out.

Depends, if I don't have to interact with the community then I generally ignore them if it's that bad, then again I'm used to some degrees of shitty behavior coming from TF2, hating the game or ignoring it for it's community wouldn't make sense unless the game would be online only where community interactions are a must.
In general I don't mind it as much if I don't have to suffer through it on the daily and if I ever get fed up with it or feel like today I only ran across the bad part of the community I can always log off and check back another time
