I recently got (from rosie) one of those Plug and Play TV Retro Game packs that have a bunch of old classic games on them and such. For the last year, a friend of ours has been hosting what we call "Atari Night"s using other versions of these game packs as well as the Atari Flashback 2.

So, how many of you play these kinds of games? How many of you like the old style games? Anyone play these things on the original formats and know how well they stack up? Anyone care?

I'll start by saying one of my favorite games of this category is definitely Mappy. On the old Atari style side of things Secret Quest is also really sweet. Other than Pac-Man and Galega, I haven't had a chance to play any of these games in their original formats, however.

You mean Galaga.

And in the game pack I got you for your birthday, as you already know, I like Xevious. The background story for it is so trippy though... I'm not sure if I like Dig-Dug or Bosconian more. Bosconian's kind of hard to maneuver. Love Mappy too, but I always do so badly in it.

I remember I got one of those a while back, when I was a kid. I loved it. As for the ones you've played I don't know, I remember mine had the original link and mario in it and a few others, a baseball game, space Invaders, the original fun little games.

galaga was my first love... I'd waste hundreds of dollars at the arcade on that game, and never get better... then again, i was like 5 or something... Pacman was also fun, but i never really liked it as much as galaga... also arkanoid is teh beast of old school games
