Nintendo Wii
Who here has played the Wii? What do you think of it? What games have you played?

Re: Nintendo Wii
Played it at a friend's, realized how badly it failed to meet my expectations, became anti-wii since then.

30kbpm wrote: The Wii is designed for Soccer moms. End of story. Screw you. I have a wii. Played TFU, which yeah, graphics arent as good as other systems, but the game play is pretty cool. Its nice to control the force with a push of the hand and your saber in the other hand. Nintendo has always focused more on gameplay then graphics. True, they haven't quite lived up to expectations, but it hasn't been the epic fail so many have claimed it to be. The inovative style of game play leaves SO many good possiblities open, that I think the potential the wii has, far out ways the realively crappy games that have been realeased. I also have CoD: WaW, which is pretty good. It is true that most of the better games for the wii are not nintendo exclusives. However Twilight Princess was very good. A very nice new look for the Zelda seris. Also, I have GH 3 and Aerosmith. Again, not wii exclussives, but still good. As well as Wii Play and Wii Sports, which are good games, that show off the abilities of the wii-mote. Also, the ability to purchase loads of classic nintendo games and download them is freakin awesome. So, Unless you are a big nintendo fan, you could prolly get more use out of a ps3 or 360.

Re: Nintendo Wii
yeah, if the sensor was a little better i would like it more, it doesn't seem to register movements very well sometimes, like with putting in the golf game

Re: Nintendo Wii
I had mine since launch day. It was originally pretty cool. There were some great games out for it. Namely Zelda: Twilight Princess, Warioware, Wario Land and Super Paper Mario (though the latter isn't as good as it's N64 and Gamecube counterparts). Brawl is OK for a while, but gets boring. Wii Sports is gimicky and fun for a while, but then you get bored (except for bowling as that's always great fun when mates are round or when playing with girlfriends).
Recently though, the Wii has gone the same way as the DS: full of shovelware. Which is a shame as it's got more potential than the other consoles which are same old same old. I agree with nexusvalhees though with games that make you get up and do stuff. However, I play the majority of Wii games sitting down (the exceptions being bowling and warioware). It's when you get rubbish like Wii Fit that you facepalm.
The WiiWare stuff seems to be of better quality than disc titles to be honest. Classics like Tetris along with the awesomeness of Lostwinds. Cheap games, but seem better quality than the shovelware on disc.
Tl;dr: Don't dismiss anything till you've given it a fair chance.

Re: Nintendo Wii
I love the Wii, I've tried the PS3 and 360 and those things suck. Really badly. PS3 has no good games, 360s are RRoDing constantly, plus both are still way overpriced.
