LULZ EASY MODO
This is more of a rant than anything else, but whatever.
So this topic is about this new generation of game/gamers that can't seem to stand challenge. No matter how I look at it, it just pisses me off. Whenever I hear people talking about games when I go out, it's all the same. "Too hard BAW BAW BAW" "I want the cheats BAW BAW BAW" "There's no way this boss can be beaten BAW BAW BAW" "Me? oh I play on easy else I can't pass the game."
Come. Fucking. On. Jesus fucking Christ, for fucking fucked fuck's sake what's up with people being retarded pussies when it comes to games. I can understand that I'm off playing games like Touhou on Hard and I am personally no reference, but god dammit! If a RTS/RPG is raping you, you need a better plan/strategy. If you can't beat a shooter game, try practicing your reflexes and your aim. If it's a fighting game, why don't you learn the techs and the combos instead of just mashing attack buttons?
A lot of people tend to give up on battles as soon as there is resistance. They lower the difficulty, they use cheats, they get other people to pass what they can't, they go search hints on-line. Why can't people just TRY to do stuff by themselves. I remember that one time in TotA when I was at the Sync/Largo boss fight on hard. When I got that game I started playing and decided to never buy any healing item and to only rely on my spells and what I could find. Sync and Largo were a true pain in the ass, they beaten my like 15 times. I could have just spammed healing items like most people do but I find it way too easy this way. I could have been the one to violently rape them but I handicapped myself on purpose for a more interesting match and game. Am I stupid if I like a little challenge?
And it's even got to the Internet too. I was on jewtube a few moments before starting to write this and I was checking out that game named "Twillight Insanity". First discovery: EVERYONE who had posted vids did so in Easy Mode. Even by playing easy mode I had to stop watching because the guys were playing so... GAH it was just painful, they were taking no risks at all, they were never trying anything reckless they couldn't even see the fucking obvious flaws in the enemy' fire barrages nor could they exploit them. The more I watched my computer the more I was wanting to just grab the screen and yell at the guys on the other side what they should have done second after second, move after move, ridiculous decision after ridiculous decision...
Seriously, is it BAD to like games that needs some reflexion and some skill? Just clearing something isn't good enough, I have to clear stuff with style, is it stupid? am I the only one who likes to have challenge in my life or what!?
Ok, rant is over, you may resume your lives.

Re: LULZ EASY MODO
I like a challenge too, when I played BioShock, I just used the wrench for the whole game, till I had to fight Fontiane because he'll rape you if you just use a wrench, and that was on hard mode with the vita-chambers deactivated
I just watch some video of that Twilight game game on Jewtube, and you are right they are playing the game on easy, not taking risks at all, and whats worse they say its on "hard" "normal" fucking lies to lure you in to get their view count up, also that game is basically a rip-off of Touhou

Re: LULZ EASY MODO
Actually, it isn't. There are quite a lot of Danmaku games out there and in japan; CurtainFireShooters (CFS) are a kind of game just as FPS or RPGs

Re: LULZ EASY MODO
Indeed, and the whole point of this rant/topic was pointing out how modern gamers's preferences are going downhill, becoming downright retarded.

Re: LULZ EASY MODO
well, FPS games i start on hard mainly cause i dominate that shit, and i really just wanna play the multiplayer (i beat the game once and just do multi from then on). when i rent a game that isn't an FPS, i'll usually play it on normal cause 1. i don't play it often and 2. i wanna beat it before i return it
although, with horror games that i rent, i play it on easy (usually) since they always have weird twists for it... although, Dead Space was a joke on easy... should have done it on at least normal.
never use cheat codes since they take away the fun from the game and really just make me crappier at that specific game.
I wish Portal had more levels though, that shit is short as fuck.
