Your logic is somewhat flawed. Expand the situation into a battlefield metaphor. When your opponent has been killed he can't very well get that rubbed in his face now can he? But victory feels good nonetheless, amirite?

Um, I hate to burst your bubble... but your point is essentially nothing more than a largely subjective statement based on your particular value set. Where I come from we call that an opinion. So, uh, I could really give a shit about what passes for a victory here (and putting things in italics doesn't lend any particular gravity to your opinion either). You totally missed the boat about the battlefield metaphor; I know the difference between mortal combat and a verbal joust, the statement I made was essentially thus: "Whether everyone knows about the 'victory', or only one person is left/knows about the 'victory' then that doesn't change or affect the fact that it was a 'victory' nonetheless." A win is a win no matter how large or insignificant. Although that too is a matter of opinion in and of itself, when one breaks a situation or encounter down to the fundamentals... then it will inevitably become apparent that one of the parties was closer to the truth, and not some mainly subjective truth, but a truth that most reasonable, logical, intelligent people could agree upon in such a majority that to argue the point would be foolish.

Why does it bother you so much that PKB is "gloating" or claiming victory about "winning" an argument that perhaps only two people were witness to? Are you saying you don't think PKB won? Or are you saying it's irrelevant to you and trying to convince PKB it should be irrelevant to him as well? What are you ultimately trying to accomplish here? I'm just curious.
