One day, Rosie was making dumplings for her boyfriend. All of them looked delicious and probably were too, for Rosie mixed lots of love and care into the ingredients. Then along came her little sister, bored and curious. "Let me make some," she said. Rosie, of course, said, "sure."

So the little sister excitedly started spooning delicious meats, spices, and vegetables into a little round pancake of dough. She may have stuffed it a little too much. The skin ripped, and the little girl tried to fix it with more dough. With the grafting, the dumpling was whole again. However, what she ended up with was an ugly dumpling.

In a fit, she threw the dumpling down and stormed off. Rosie, unsurprised, looked at the dumpling and thought, "well, it is quite ugly, but it would be a waste to throw it away." So she cooked it along with all the other, prettier dumplings.

Rosie gave the dumplings to her boyfriend. She figured the ugly dumpling would just be eaten like all the rest. But as the dumplings disappeared one by one, the ugly dumpling would remain. Rosie, figured that it would at least be eaten last.

When Rosie and her boyfriend were finished, the ugly dumpling was still there. Both were too full to eat it. So, Rosie reluctantly threw away the poor ugly dumpling. It sat in the trash, rotting away. It turned sour and bad. No one wanted it, so it just sat by itself, rotting away. It got uglier, and whatever redeeming quality it may have had disappeared.

And so our story ends. The moral of the story: The world is fucking shallow. No one wants an ugly dumpling. They may pretend to not see your ugliness, but they cannot ignore ugly. So, if you're an ugly dumpling, then the world will be unfair to you. Suck it up or kill yourself.

Apparently now I have a stupid sister. And I don't put love and care into my dumplings; I put poison. I'm killing n0th1n before he kills me, and the best way to do so is to use the way to a man's heart (the stomach) literally. Killlllll.

In any case, awesome story. And moral...I guess. But another thing you could do is suck it up, grow arms and legs, and fix yourself right up.

I must tell this story in the future when I have spawn.

The key flaw in this story is thinking I, or anyone, would not eat the dumpling because it is ugly.

I wouldn't eat it for the vegetables she put in it. You don't mess with a good dumpling recipe.

^Except...you do eat the vegetables that get put into the dumplings we make/buy.

I don't remember what i posted here it was so long ago. but i mentioned not knowing how to make dumpling and the fact that i never had one.

I think I've heard this one before... yeah... a mystical dumpling told me that story... looked real sad when she told me... Then I ate her... she was tasty.

I would prefer a well made dumpling. Ugly or not, the ingredients make the dumpling. Also real truth is you shouldn't kill yourself but work to overcome your problems, and make cool stuff. An Ugly dumpling made in a tasty way still works.

He is gone from this world, but he lives on, in the prose and wisdom he left behind.
