As AFH mumbled something incoherent and struggled on the floor, Yomu-chan decided to run for it. Apparently, the sharp report of his firearm had attracted the attention of a high-level law enforcement officer. Mentally berating himself for not attaching a silencer onto his gun, he quickly slid down a fire escape and ducked into an alleyway.

Air Man was unused to having to do patrols of the city. But the rise of hackers and other assorted criminals had made the police force use his kind as patrol supports. As he turned a corner, he heard noises that sounded like gunfire. Increasing his pace, he followed the echoes of the noise, and soon, he saw the source. A strange, rainbowy figure lay on the floor, his head bleeding from a low-caliber bullet ricochet. A quick scan revealed his stats to be unusually high for a newcomer - and as per protocol to catch deckers, Air Man quickly placed some electric manacles on the incapacitated AFH.

He deduced that this person mustve been a customer of a decker, when the deal mustve gone bad - accounting for the injury the glowing figure had sustained. He then radioed HQ and dispatched a cruiser to his location.

At that moment, his delicate aural sensors indicated movement behind and above him. Without hesitating, he swiveled around and fired off a shot at the rackety gantry of the fire escape from which the suspicious sound had issued from. No luck - this time, as the blast tore down the fire escape, but yielded no suspects.

"I guess I can't have the cake and eat it too", Air Man thought to himself.

Early afternoon
Coastal commercial district, Northern section

Amidst the large warehouse and run-down slums, an hoverbike was waltzing through the half-deserted streets, dodging parked or destroyed cars here and there throughout the roads. most of the lights in the area were in a severe state of disrepair and most of the light was coming from fires started in barrels by homeless people. The driver came to a stop at a local shady fuel station with a blinking sign. She parked her hoverbike here not to get more fuel but rather to observe nearby activity without attracting too much attention. Wearing dark tight clothing and a leather jacket, the officer was looking nothing of a law enforcement agent and seemed to belong on the streets, although not in a ghetto. Cutting short to her surveillance, the comm module in her sunglasses blinked with information, the radio disguised as common headphones quickly roared up.

-"This is an Emergency, report to Headquarters immediately! Alert Condition switched to Red-2. Again, report to HQ immediately you'll get more information on the way."

Backing up and going back on the road, the woman engaged the Nytro and blazed through the ghost streets of the north-western district's ghettos towards the SUTI Headquarters North of the Downtown area.

-"So, what came up?"

-"We've just received a report from the Intelligence bureau. They've failed to root out a large-scale operation by those fanatics from some Apocalypse-crazed death cult. The terrorists have somehow got control of a certain number of private force armors and crafts and they're planning on making some mayhem in the heart of downtown. And by mayhem we mean massacre people. According to the bureau they should sortie in about 20 minutes top, we've got no time."

-"Alright, what's the status on the teams?"

-"We've alerted your wingmen and dispatched two squads of SUTI infantry in APCs and equipped with Anti-material guns they should hold the line for a while but we need your squad to clear out the skies."

-"Wasn't the Zwei Wing on standby today?"

-"Some of them were sent to investigate a suspicious unmanned tanker earlier and the rest is patrolling trying to find out where the cultists are hiding."

-"Alright, I'll be there in a bit."

Finally arriving at the underground parking of the SUTI building, she drifted and stopped right next to the elevator, not even taking care to park her hoverbike properly and dumped her backpack on the seat. skipping the lockers entirely, she quickly stripped naked in the dim, silent parking and put on her pilot suit, tugging the clothes back in the bag before hiding it between the bike and the wall. She then rode the elevator straight to the top of the building where the Spacepad was located. Hopping shortly into the aircraft's cockpit, she slid in the magnetic key and booted up all the systems, the glass closing over her.

-"Blitz Wing status report. Control, clearance to take off?"

-"Clearance granted Blitz-Leader, you're authorized to take off and proceed to the operation zone."

In short succession, the other pilots of the wing quickly reported the state of their crafts, no problems were encountered; as expected of them.

-"All units, lift-off. Sub-wing leaders designed Blitz 2 and Blitz 3. 4 and 5 with me, 6 and 7 in sub-wing B, 8 and 9 in sub-wing C. On my mark break formation and prepare to engage in a three-way fork. Remember to use the skyscrapers to your advantage, radars are useless there."

As the woman gave her instructions, the VTOL's engines bursted flames and rose up quickly, followed by the others. With a push of a button, the engines rotated upwards to the horizontal positions and the split wings moved back to their jet configuration, along with the rest of the hi-tech frame. With a loud bang, the engines accelerated to their cruise speed and dove into the afternoon sky. The soaring noise of the wing's flight could be heard from the ground level as the aircrafts soared through the skyscrapers and towers.

-"Switching Alert Condition to Red-1, Hostiles encountered at the junction of Lylat and Richter avenues, all dispatched SUTI units move to engage immediately."

"Suspect resisting arrest!" Airman fired off a few shots at AFH as he was apparently trying to hunt down the escaped decker. 'A few days in the interrogation room would shed some light on the criminal in question.' he thought to himself. As he tackled the clearly disoriented AFH, Airman radioed for backup. "This is Agent Airman. I've caught a suspect that has clearly been using a decker's service. Position 291,1992,122. Dispatch SWAT van immediately."

A bright blue flash appears through out the whole city and a faint metallic scent is now lingering in the air. The clock starts counting down the minutes from an hour and the metallic scent disappears along with the voice.
