My turn! On the matter of taxes going to Mexico. Yes, it's bullshit, but also yes, it's to help them help us keep drugs from coming into the US.

On the matter of legalizing weed.....ummmm....I'm quite certain everyone knows where I stand on this position, but let me go ahead and hit you with some knowledge. ¿Donde esta la biblioteca?

Anyways. Fact #1: Beer is infinitely more dangerous than weed. It's literally impossible to OD on weed as you'll pass out LONG before that ever happens...on the other hand people die of alcohol poisoning every fucking day.
Fact #2: If you ever have a chance to go to a high school drunk driving assembly with cops for guest speakers, just straight up ask one: "If someone was going to be under the influence of something while driving, would you rather them be drunk or stoned?" The cop will always answer "Stoned." Why? Because stoned people who think they're too stoned to drive drive with their hands at 10 and 2, seat belt on, hunched over the steering wheel, and going 5-8 miles under the speed limit. Drunk people who think they're too drunk to drive say "Fuck it" and floor it around corners under the presumption that "If I drive really fast, I won't be on the road as long, and therefor less likely to get caught." Fact #3: Stoners rarely get violent...they just get pissed...but only about things dealing with their weed. All you have to do to fix the situation is roll another blunt or load another bong. Drunks, on the other hand, are the leading cause of domestic violence. Fact #4: Now a lot of people, for whatever crazy fucking reason, believe that the government actually MAKES money by throwing people in jail...now this is just fucking retarded, as it's quite impossible to make money by doing so. Who pays for the 3 meals a day a convict gets? And how about the cable that most prisons have now? What about all the court costs to prosecute, detain, process, move, and house a convict? Oh yes, uncle sam is sucking the fat tit with all those weed convictions. No, if you legalized weed, a very large percentage of inmates would be released and actually *gasp* SAVE the government money to spend on more important things! Like helping foreign countries with their own drug wars! But seriously, along with the eased prison burden, legalizing weed would truly help the economy. Just slap a fat tax on it, put a minimum age on it, and start shipping it to gas stations. That'd be awesome, buying a pack of like, 10 to 15 joints or some shit. Instead of coming home and relaxing with a cool one you could come home and relax while burning one. I honestly believe that it would lead to less crime, particularly violent ones, and just in general everyone would be a lot happier.

That said, excuse me, but all this talk about the green monster has made me really want to break out my bong for old time's sakes.
