Ok first there's a theory about a female fantasy of "redeeming" the bad guy and bringing out some kind of hidden side "Jerk with a golden heart" style. See, the nice guy is nice to everyone, but if the bad guy is a dick to everyone but nice to you that makes you feel special. Not my cup of tea though.
Then there's the fact that often the "nice guys" lack confidence or for whatever other reason just cannot be straight-forward with their feelings and just wait and wait while likely the girl they're after maybe has feelings for them.. except they don't speak up whereas the bad guy archetype is much more assertive and WILl ask her out where you shy out of it.
As far as -I'M- concerned, I'm an evil sociopathic bitch in the first place so why would I want some moralfag carebear? I want to be with people who can understand and agree with me.
