Anyone Here a Doctor?
Well, not a doctor, obviously. But someone who might help me diagnose something. I THINK it's Paresthesia, but I can't be sure. Basically, every once in a while, I get an unpleasant feeling of having needles pressed against my back (and sometimes my neck). Always they seem to be roughly an inch to two inches apart, and are just scattered randomly. This can last for less than 30 seconds, but often recurs multiple times within the hour. Then it won't happen again for a while. Usually a week to a couple months. Sometimes longer. It feels like if I push back, I'll be impaled by them. It also feels like they're being pushed against my back, but aren't making any progress. Any ideas?
Edit: It's not really painful in an unbearable sense. Though it might hurt a little, in the way that an overly-stimulated nerve may hurt. But that's it.

Re: Anyone Here a Doctor?
Seems like a case of pins and needles. Do you have any abnormal nerve injuries, or can you think of anything that could be causing a blockage of nerves in the area?

Re: Anyone Here a Doctor?
I know, I think it might be, but there's no numbness that normally accompanies that. And nope, no nerve injuries anywhere.

Re: Anyone Here a Doctor?
Have you ever noticed what your position is whenever you feel those? It just might be pins and needles sensation, bought about by lack of blood circulation on your nerves. Nerves require quite a lot of blood supply, and when a position causes decreased blood supply to your nerves, that's what happens.

Re: Anyone Here a Doctor?
I guarantee that's not it. It only has happened with a regular posture. And my posture is usually pretty good.

Re: Anyone Here a Doctor?
People usually assume their posture is pretty good, until a physiotherapist tells them otherwise. Sensation changes which are significant should occur more frequently than what you mentioned, and if they do that can mean nerve impingement or nerve injury. If you really think it might be something, I suggest you go to your doctor who will probably refer you to a neurologist

Re: Anyone Here a Doctor?
I only say it because my doctor told me so. He doesn't exactly specialize in how people should sit, but I'll trust that he knows whether or not I'm destroying my back. But that was a while ago. And I have no clue if it is something or not. It's not like it actually does anything. That's why I'm asking.

Re: Anyone Here a Doctor?
Remon, it's a devil doing a stick-up, I'm being dead serious, they push the ends of thier sharp parts against your back in an attempt to make you bow to the devil and take devil cock up your ass from behind, then well you're fucked 2 ways.
they aren;t allowed to truely push, see they aren;t allowed to hurt people, the only way they can get you to ben over is by pressing the needles against your skin and letting your own nervous fear take control of you and make you lean forwards to avoid it.
lean back without fear, it will make it go away faster. if you aren;t fearful; of the devil's tactics then they die a little each time they fail.

Re: Anyone Here a Doctor?
Best guess was lyme disease, and I doubt that's it. Other two were chemical burns and regular burns. And I guarantee I don't have those.

Re: Anyone Here a Doctor?
see a doctor. No need to look it up or waste time asking people with no medical knowledge. For all we know, it could be anything. Probably aids.
