Whereas: genetics being the study of or matters pertaining to the use of "base pairs" to represent data for purposes of providing information that represents the form, order or function of a construct that may be mechanically, chemically or electrically reproduced by the nonlinear interpretation of the order of the base pairs.

And whereas: computers being automated calculation machines with means to store numbers for calculation in a nonlinear fashion for the purposes of constructing the meaningful representation of the math being performed as predefined by standards agreed upon for the purposes of interoperability.

And whereas: computers achieve the necessary storage requirements of the numbers and operands that comprise the math to be performed by means of logic state sequences stored in a linear fashion to be read as needed in a nonlinear fashion.

I assert that the binary storage mechanism of computers and the quadrinary storage mechanism of genetics are directly analogous equivalents.

I further assert that the method of reading this data and producing useful/meaningful output in both systems in also analogous.

The mechanisms of reproduction, transmission and translation into useful/meaningful information in each system are also analogous in that;

• for the case of reproduction, an existing sequence of base pairs/bits is read and written;


• for the case of transmission, a segment or whole copy of a given sequence is encapsulated then physically moves by one of many means (such means are beyond the scope of this document) before being read and or written to the destination storage mechanism or otherwise made into useful/meaningful information;


• for the case of translation into useful/meaningful information, the sequence is read by an interpreter in an initially linear fashion with jumps to other segments as defined in the sequence to facilitate nonlinear interpretation of the sequence.

The final counterpoint to the comparison is that of self-replication, self-deviation (mutations, genetic aging and others) and selective self-mutation (the genetic code of the tissues in a finger are different from the tissues in a wrist and so forth) seen in biological examples. I assert that such comparison is inequitable in that complex and multicellular biological examples of genetics are broader in scope then that of an individual computer example.

To correct the inequity I conjecture that the organization, distribution and specialization in genetic systems of complex, multicellular biological examples is analogous to the network topology, network infrastructure and naming scheme/software auditing models of enterprise computer systems comprised of scalar numbers of individual computer systems each analogous to single cell biological examples.

The only thing is: why is the data spreading and mutating on its own?
