This tutorial will detail how to embed youtube videos, specifically, using the youtube tag. I will use pictures because you're fucking retards.
Okay, so this is the full youtube tag.
You can type it yourself, or you can find the little button to create it here:
Yes, that thing that says "YouTube". Here's a little gif because you're a fucktard:
I assume I don't need to explain clicking to you. Now you know how to make a youtube tag, within which you will be putting the relevant information to actually embed a specific youtube video. That is to say, no, typing "youtube" twice will not magically link the video that you want.
Moar images ahead.
First you want to have a video that you want to embed. It must be a youtube video. (Does that sound condescending and belittling? It is.) So go to that video.
Now pause that while you read the rest of this tutorial. Or don't. I'm not your dad.
Now here's what you want. See up there in the address bar? There's a url, which links to your video. Like this:
Or even beneath your youtube video, under the 'share' tab!:
But that's pretty advanced stuff, so you can ignore it if that's too much.
Anyway, what you're looking for here is this: Or this:
You wanna copy THAT part. So copy it, exactly as shown. No, don't highlight it with a marker. That won't help you. Use your cursor to highlight it, copy it, and then come back to the post you were making and trying to embed your video in.
Now what you want to see is something like this, with the youtube tag and the relevant string of characters inside of it.
That's right, that's all you want. That saves characters in your post, and saves server space. Though the amount of characters in this post alone has probably already wasted more server space than we'll ever make up for by just posting that string of characters rather than the full url. Pennies in your coin tray, right?
And then you're done. That's it. That's how you embed it. There are 2978 characters, 7 images, and 2 gifs in this post and it's all to explain to you how to do this simple, miniature task. Are you proud of yourself? No? Well, don't cry too much, lots of people have this problem. And you're all pieces of shit.
The following is your end result. No, it's not a picture this time:
