When you were growing up did your parents barely feed you milk? when they fed you milk was it always skim milk 1% or 2% milk?

Guess what, it's part of a vicious cycle that wasn't giving your body what it needed as a growing person, heck even now you still could benefit from Full/Whole Milk.

So how does this cycle happen and who is to blame?

well milk companies aren't guilt free, all pre-made chocolate milk and strawberry milk is 2% milk, skim milk ETC. so naturally kids will want to drink that.

Parents, the first reason that skim milk or 2% milk may make it into your house is because as your body gets older 40's or 50's or more doctors advise to stay away from large quantities of lactic acid, milk fat ETC. both for weight loss reasons and "to stop arthritis and gout before it starts" as they believe lactic acid is to blame.

so, parents believe this tripe and always buy skim milk, and again doctors advise that a child should not be fed too much milk fat as they may become fat from it. Even more tripe as milk fat is not a trans-fat.

so whats the deal? why is there a milk conspiracy?

The truth;

Lactic acid burns fat: if everyone was raised on whole milk with the max lactic acid content everyone would be slim and weight loss supplements couldn't make much money except from a small minority of people who hate milk and are lazy and eat junk food all day 6 meals a day (example). those extremes are not common so by removing nature's weight-loss agent from the diet people are subjected to an obesity epidemic that rakes in billions of $'s in pill purchases every year.

Whole Milk has tons of calcium and Vitamin D: it strengthens your bones, prevents arthritis from bone decay and vitamin D is a psycho-vitamin which can prevent memory loss and depression and even certain chemical imbalances which cause insanity.

so, now you know the truth, doctors and the gov have conspired to weaken your body as a child all the way till you become what they want; a confused, depressed, fat person with severe memory problems, arthritis and brittle bones.

why? because then you're immobile, can't withstand a fight if you wanted to, and can't think for yourself and will have serious mental issues which prevent you from thinking clearly period aka you are too caught up in your own problems to bother with a corrupt government, and that's if you can even remember what you were so mad about 2 hours later so you can be lied to easily by corrupt politicians and you still vote for them no matter the evidence.

so drink your whole milk.

I would have to say that if I understood what tuypo1 said, I would probably agree. I always have trouble taking seriously what you put up in the serious thread because everything you say sounds like you're trying to fool someone instead of inform them. I can't say that's what it IS, but that's what it sounds like. But, nonetheless, whole milk is good for you, but drinking any milk is usually better for you than not, with some exceptions such as if you're allergic to it or it's radioactive to a lethal amount or something. And then you've got the countless alternatives of "lactose free milks" such as soy, almond, that new Coke stuff which has supposedly filtered out most of that kind of stuff, all sorts of things. Which is best? There will almost certainly never be a study done by people who aren't biased to claim one or another is best, so independent study that's very expensive and difficult would be needed. Most likely, they all have benefits and pit falls, such as almost everything in life.

you know i have been thinking about it and there is a group behind this but its not the goverment its the health lobby and they do it because they genuily belive full milk is bad for you because there stupid

Whole milk is definately the best milk thats for sure, for one, fat is actually good for you, and everything in whole milk is great for building muscle. However, it's chockful of a fuckload of calories, so it's weight loss effects are severely limited. It's best suited for muscle gain, and you'll gain relatively less fat then if you were bulking without whole milk. If your trying to lose weight, however, I would get whole milks ridiculous nutrition from cheese instead, so that you don't take in carbs from the milksugar.

If you want to lose weight, check out ketogenesis, which, like whole milk, is nice because you get to improve your health eating a ton of stuff that we've been told is bad for us. Mainly, you'll be avoiding carbs completely and piling on fat and protein calories only. Your body will then use your bodyfat directly for energy(you'll also keep your muscle, expecially if you are weight training(if you are trying to lose weight, by the way, fucking weight train with heavy ass weights(5-12 rep), you'll keep nearly if not all your muscle, and might gain some, also heavy ass weights burn calories better then running anyways))

If you suffer from depression, I highly reccomend whole milk, as it contains a natural opiate that will basically wipe out your depression completely(as it did with me) no idea if this is found in skim milk.
Get lactase free whole milk if your intolorant, or try organic, some people who can't handle store bought whole milk can handle organic whole milk just fine.

As for the natural weight loss agent thats being removed from our diets? fat and meat! fat satiates us far more then carbs or sugars ever do(carbs and sugars actually continually give you cravings and fat) when you take in dietary fat, your body feels free to use up your body fat thats been stored, and protein is extremely satiating. Meat is also great for building muscle obviously and muscle itself burns fat, theres also a natural creatine in alot of meats, and a fuckload of nutrients in fatty foods and meats(as apposed to, bread, and rice, and other carby foods that have barely any nutrients). Yes, that means bacon laden with cheese is actually good for you.

That said, if people were raised on whole milk yes, they would probably be slimmer then those raised on 2%, like I said, fats good for you. Also, whole milk is important for growth anyways, it literally contains natural growth hormone in it, IGF-1.

the human bodys been processing cows milk for a few thousand and some bodies have adapted. Mostly white people because were he ones who domesticated cows in the first place. if you can drink milk without feeling any adverse effects and you are white you probably have an adapted body.

From what I'm aware of, there's fairly good consensus that milk is not particularly useful for most humans beyond 2 years of age. The exceptions to that are mostly descended northern Europeans and some parts of Africa, who apparently continue to make the lactase enzyme which helps break down and process out lactose, into adulthood. While many here may or may not be from those groups, on a world scale they are in the minority. Interestingly, Lactase is present in cows milk, but is mostly destroyed during pasturization (that's not to say that raw milk is beneficial for those outside the group mentioned above, it's just a note).


Anyway, I wouldn't rule out some nefarious motives by some parties somewhere along the line, but I also wouldn't go so far as to say it's all a purposeful and intentional conspiracy to screw you. The main thing is we have generally been told that fat, particularly saturated fat but also in the lesser sources all fat, is bad for you (if we get more specific, and not all know the more specific, that it creates cholesterol and saturated fat in the bloodstream and that said elements cause heart disease. There have been other claims of other bad health effects as well, including weight gain and other problems due to hormonal imbalances, etc). A lot of this seems to be based on simply bad science that was able to catch the public's attention and won out over the alternative theories in achieving US government endorsement (specifically the USDA, not a health administration), for possibly just incompetence reasons, but also some could speculate because it aligned well with the agriculture industry (corn especially, which is very powerful in this country). Perhaps it also helped that a lot of the research came out around the time Nixon wanted a way to stabilize sugar prices simply to get the resulting food price fluctuations out of politics so it wouldn't hurt his campaign, and around that time High Fructose Corn Syrup came along. The U.S. public was in a panic for a while as well about heart disease and so was willing to latch onto anything that sounded good enough, and the government really just wanted to give an answer, rather than waiting for better research.

Of course, one of the other problems is that nutrition is in general a very political, very divided and very heatedly biased field. Possibly this is partially due to the other problem it has which is that it's more difficult to do serious research in the field of human nutrition as opposed to some other scientific fields because you can't do the same level of experiments and controls on humans as would be required for most kinds of scientific proofs. It's a degree of guesswork. There's also the problem that, while many now acknowledge that probably different people really just react very differently to different kinds of foods (depending on genetics or other aspects of current health), and so it's difficult to create very general advise. Media prefers to ignore that aspect all together and so the public gets some of the worst information not only because it's been watered down and mutilated by whoever is reporting, but because likely the advise was not meant to be general to everyone to begin with.

In any case, whole milk is better, but you'd also do better getting your fats and nutrients from other sources usually, without the lactose, and without certain other hormones that can potentially throw off aspects of your body if consumed in too high amounts (and, presumably, depending on your bodytype/where you are descended from). Milk alternatives are not all just as good though for those who can't take cows milk (some have their own problems, or at least the products sold have their own particular problems, some really are fine, but again, most people don't really need it).

In any case, whole milk wouldn't kick over obesity outright, though it may help. There is a lot worse attacking our systems (at least here in the U.S.) and whole milk isn't itself perfect, it's just better because of the fat. Also good to keep in mind that it being "high in calories" is essentially meaningless for your weight. Yes, too many calories means you will likely store those calories as fat, but the bigger key is how you react to those calories. The benefit that whole milk has over skim milk is that the calories you receive in the one are more satiating for many people, due to fat (and protein to half extent) not producing a large insulin reaction. Now, this is not a problem for some people who's bodies can't appropriately respond to insulin and still register that they received the proper number of calories for energy that they need and thus don't become hungry or have other adverse effects. But, for others, it just tells the body you didn't get any calories and that you need to save whatever you get for a while, and causes other problems. In other words, when you drink the whole milk, it has more calories per once, but you will feel filled with fewer ounces and overall take in less calories, and possibly (again, depending on your own bodies reactions) avoid a side effect of insulin that tells you to reduce activity, and thus you'll have the energy to burn more calories you took in.

As another aside, most Chocolate milk and such that I've seen at stores, for a long time, was actually made with whole milk, but later as an advertising gimmick added "Reduced fat" lines that were made with 2% milk. But, that probably depends on the brand. In any case, the fructose and sucrose in the chocolate milk will probably do you far more harm than the 2% milk.
