Well, i saw Quarantine and i was impressed (and it's a remake of an indy film made before Cloverfield, so it's not even a rip off)

Script:
Way better. More realistic and didn't try to brain fuck you at any times with stupid shit that doesn't make sense.

Directing:
Both had good directing.

Dialogue:
Much better, probably since the acting was good as well. Cloverfield had some shitty acting along with stupid, unrealistic lines said through out.
which brings us to
Acting:
Realistic acting in the most part. I actually believed the characters. Cloverfield was a joke when it came to acting "zomg, something attacked us and i don't know what it is". wanna slap those fuckers in the face, shit heads.

Females:
Hotter chicks in the movie. Main chick was really hot.

Action:
Well, Cloverfield did have explosions and fuckin' monsters and shit. But, it was all predictable. O, like no one knew that fuckin' helicopter would get attacked. Plus, it seemed like people were too fuckin' stupid to realize when the monster was RIGHT THERE!! Quarantine was done more zombie style, with people all fucked up and trying to kill anyone they see. Not so many special effects, but it was done more thrillerish.

Creatures:
Cloverfield could have been way better if they didn't show that ridiculous looking frog-fish mutant at the end. The whole movie kept me going because of the idea that this was one bad ass looking fucker who had little things come out and kill the shit out of everyone. So, Cloverfield was good until the end, creature wise. as for Quarantine, the old guy at the end was fucked up as shit, but it was still cool. typical zombie shit, nothing too creative. (o, and they're not zombies).

I loved that movie it was awesome it was probably one of the best movies in several months

Can't say I had any interest in either of those movies (though I LOVE the South Park 2 part episode that makes fun of Cloverfield..."GUINEA PIRATE!!!!!)

On top of my lack of desire to see those movies, everything I hear about them, Quarentine in particular, was that they didn't live up to their hype.

P.S. Apparently the Speed Racer movie features a random attack by ninjas which are beaten away by John Goodman and a monkey.

wow just because of the way that scene sounds i need to go see that movie now.
