Re: Question of the day! Its actually from missaying another phrase: "Don't press on Tex". Tex, of course, is the main character from a Futuristic/SciFi detective series whom, if you were to press on him, might very well fall over and inadvertently discover terrible things you've been doing, or even ones you haven't, and take you and your posse down.
The idea is, be courteous to snoopy people, since if you try using force against them, it'll likely end up worse for you.
