 Can pain medication mess with your brain? I'm taking apo-iboprofen for tooth pain, in 600 mg tablets. I noticed I'm more calmer because I'm not in such pain but on the other hand I noticed I am making more strange typos than I usually do. (I tend to swap sounds and accidently leave out words while typing) Plus I am making weird speech sounds without even realizing it (I pronounced tree "twee" today) It's similar to my drunken/stonned typing and speech. It's kinda weird.

Re: Can pain medication mess with your brain? Yes, any medication can mess with any number of things. Any medication can kill you in too high doses for that matter (yes, even placebo).
But yea, my little brother actually developed severe migraines at a young age because of ibuprofen. Was in and out of doctors, hospitals, clinics for months because of it, and still has some problems from it. Had to get brain scans and spinal taps multiple times and shit. Terrible stuff.
