Are you saying the book "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" is a bunch of lies?

Romance of the Three Kingdoms is what we in the English business like to call "Historical Fiction", just like the book Mutiny on the Bounty. Obviously there is embellishment for the sake of the story, however the major details are true. For instance, Zhuge Liang more than likely didn't magically conjure a southern wind, however Pang Tong and Huang Gai did commit fake defections in order to pull of the massive strategy.

psychokittyboy wrote: We do realize that much that is known of those people is Myth, right? Shhh, don't tell them that, it'll hurt their brains! To note: Technically, Canada is STILL part of the British Empire in some ways, they are, as I said, TECHNICALLY, under the Queen. If the queen or another monarch ever decided to actually USE the powers they still have, they could still do some government shit in Canada, and Australia, and various other places. Though, this might result in a backlash. Thus monarchs don't tend to use the powers they have left. But seriously, Mexico? Even at that time it would have been stupid, but you'd think Hitler would have learned the lesson after it failed in World War I. In any case, the Japanese were getting ready for war with the U.S. already by that time. We had a lot of tension in the years leading up to Pearl Harbor, and we were in very rough negotiations and pre-war tactics just before hand. PKB is right though that the Americans could have conquered pretty much everything with minimal difficulty after World War II if we wanted to. However, thats not nearly entirely because of our generals. Fact is, most the major powers of the world were devestated by the war and didn't have much left to fight on. We, although not stretched thin with our own preparations, faired far better with simple things like Massive amounts of our agricultural food base still in tact. We had also, obviously, amassed a very sizable military at that time, and our cities hadn't been so battered and civilians killed so much as the other countries, let alone our very important factories. Though, the real mark that would set us up for everything, particularly important in view of the Soviets still having a pretty good force, was our technology. We still had the best and most bombs, planes, guns, etc. And of course we had the game ender while no one else did: the Atomic Bomb. Oh, and what we displayed was only the small prototype, even by the time we used it. Sure, strategists and generals would have helped and been important, but they had a huge advantage by that point too and didn't need to be the greatest ever to accomplish a goal of world dominance, just on the better side.

By the way Jester, No U.S. General will be called a god of war seeing how the U.S. is a majority Christian nation and would throw a bitch fit if something else were put on the "god" pedestal.
